In 1995, the Nike Zoom flight was constantly worn and showcased by Jason Kidd, the famed basketball player who took the sport by storm. Lightweight design with one of the first sneakers to feature the Zoom Air technology created a phenomenon in the basketball community over this fantastic sneaker. The 2008 Olympics has certainly brought about numerous colorways and designs, one of which being the Nike Zoom Flight 95 - USA Colorway Edition. Rumor has it that Jason Kidd will be wearing these sneakers along with numerous other members of the American team during the Olympic games. The sole of the sneaker is white leather with black air bubbles throughout the mid portion, deriving a Zoom Air pocket appearance with futuristic design. The only visible outsole is toward the front toe inlay portion, providing traction and scuff protection. The Nike Zoom Flight 95 - USA Colorway Edition shoe’s side panel, encompassing the lower portion along with the back panel and shoelace casing, is black leather with a patent and sheen design, separated from the remainder of the sneaker by black stitching. The remainder of the upper portion panels is white leather with white stitching, almost resembling baseball of sort. The toe inlay features a blue swoosh with red bordering; unique for most Nike lines while a small white swoosh is shown toward the back panel, keeping more in tradition with the Nike line. The Nike Zoom Flight 95 - USA Colorway Edition shoe’s tongue is white mesh material with a net-like design. Topped with white laces, this tongue features a white leather strip serving as the Nike logo. The back panel features a blue strip of cloth around the upper ankle support area with white Nike lettering etched throughout.
